Josh & Susanne: Engaged

Two weeks ago I had a text conversation with my friend, Josh, that went something like this:

Josh: Hey, are you gonna be home this weekend?
Danielle: Not planning on it. What's up?
Josh: Shoot. I'm going to propose to Susanne and want you there to take pictures.
Danielle: WHAT?! WHAT?!!!!!! I WILL BE THEREEEEEEE.

So then we schemed. The plan was that I would message Susanne, asking her if she could twist Josh's arm to pose for a shoot for me. You know, "to build my business." Long story short -- she fell for it. Josh "reluctantly" came to the shoot looking spiffier than ever, with a ring in his pocket, and shaking almost as much as me.

I drove us out to this open grove, said, "Walk that way *pointing to the far end of the grove with my knees shaking the entire time* so I can get a distant shot." And bottaboombottabang. Engaged. Josh wrote Susanne (from what I gather) a wonderful letter that she can keep forever, expressing his thoughts on their relationship and the marriage he wants to have with her.

I honestly can't imagine a better proposal. And I am so, so, so happy I could be there to capture it. I love these two people. And I love them even more together. Enjoy getting a glimpse of such a beautiful day that is just one page in the story of a soon-to-be beautiful marriage.
